An all-in-one gift wrapping station for We R Makers that holds the paper roll, cutter, and tape together, so the whole process happens in one place. It was my first product to go from concept through manufacturing to retail shelves.

(CHALLENGE)

Wrapping a gift means juggling a loose roll of paper, scissors, and tape across a table. Paper unrolls, cuts come out crooked, and tools go missing mid-task. The design goal was to organize the entire process into one tool. The personal challenge was larger: this was my first product headed to production, so I had to learn how a design becomes a manufacturable object, balancing function, cost, and factory constraints under a real release schedule.

(OUTCOME)

The Gift Wrap Hub combines a roll holder, a built-in cutter for straight cuts, and tape storage in a single body, cutting the steps and clutter out of wrapping. Taking it to market taught me the full product development cycle: refining concepts through prototypes, designing for manufacturing, reviewing factory samples, and making the tradeoffs needed to reach production. It shipped internationally, and customers describe wrapping faster, cleaner, and more easily, including users with limited hand strength. Every product I've designed since builds on the process I learned here.
