SHADOW BOX PUNCH BOARD
A punch board for We R Makers that turns flat cardstock into dimensional paper shadow boxes, plus matching sleeves to hold them, in four sizes. Designed to make a complex, time-consuming build fast and repeatable.
(CHALLENGE)
Paper shadow boxes are popular for layered scenes, advent calendars, and gift boxes, but making them by hand means measuring, scoring, and cutting each corner individually. It's slow, and small errors compound into boxes that don't square up. The goal was a tool that let any crafter produce clean, accurate boxes in multiple sizes without measuring, while fitting into the existing We R Makers punch board family.
(OUTCOME)
The board combines score lines, a corner punch system, and a built-in paper guide that shows the exact paper size for each box, reducing the process to scoring, punching each corner twice, and mirroring the opposite side. It makes 2", 3", 4", and 5" shadow boxes along with coordinating sleeves. The scoring tool stores in a side slot so the kit stays together. The result took a build that crafters described as very time-consuming and made it a quick, repeatable process, opening up pop-up cards, advent calendars, layered scenes, and custom gift boxes from one tool.
